Although it is estimated to have economic capacity, an increasing number of subscribers do not pay national pension premiums.

Some say that continuous management is needed as it can cause a relative sense of loss to those who pay faithfully.

Kim Sun-min (Cho Kuk Innovation Party) of the National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee analyzed the data on the "current status of payment exceptions" of the National Pension Service today (31st). As of June this year, 2,868,359 out of 22.055,846 national pension subscribers were eligible for payment exceptions.

Among the payment exceptions, 51,488 people left the country more than four times last year.

Of the 2,785 people who own cars and pay more than 910,000 won in automobile tax, 1,683 had more than one imported car.

Under the current National Pension Act, business or local subscribers can apply to the National Pension Service to be recognized as an exemption from payment if they are unable to pay insurance premiums due to business suspension, unemployment or leave of absence, illness, military service, or studies.

However, those who pay more than a certain amount of automobile tax or leave the country more than four times a year, and those who pay high health insurance premiums are expected to have economic ability, and are persuading them to pay insurance premiums by checking their income status.

Since national pension premiums are levied on earned income or business income, not property, insurance premiums cannot be imposed no matter how much property you have if you do not report your income.

However, if you don't pay insurance premiums as an exception to payment, you can lose money in your old age.

In order to receive the old-age pension (a general form of national pension received when the age of receipt is reached), the minimum subscription period of 10 years (120 months) must be completed. The period in which insurance premiums have not been paid except for payment may be placed in the blind spot of old age as it is not included in the calculation of the subscription period.
