The Japanese government's evaluation of North Korea's new ICBM launch came out. Please tell them first.
[Reporter]
Shortly after North Korea fired a ballistic missile this morning, major Japanese media, including NHK, reported in unison.
The Japanese government said the missile fired by North Korea at 7:11 a.m. into the East Sea was an ICBM-class
says it has reached 1,000 kilometers of flight distance and a maximum altitude of 7,000 kilometers.
He also explained that the flight time was 86 minutes, which was the longest ever launched by North Korea.
The missile was found to have fallen outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, EEZ.
Japanese government spokesman Yoshimasa Hayashi called it "a riot that makes the international community nervous."
He then said North Korea's actions, including repeated launches of ballistic missiles, threaten peace and security in the region and the international community and are unacceptable.
The Japanese government says it has sternly protested against North Korea through Beijing's embassy route,
He stressed that he will work closely with the international community, including South Korea, the United States, and do his best to collect, analyze and monitor information.
Japan's Defense Ministry said there is a possibility that North Korea's ballistic missiles may be new.

North Korea's ballistic missile launch is the first since the inauguration of the Ishiba Cabinet, and the Japanese government also moved urgently.
[Reporter]
Immediately after North Korea launched, the Japanese government urgently convened Prime Minister Ishiba, Defense Minister, and Foreign Minister at the Prime Minister's residence at around 9 a.m. to hold the National Security Council and the NSC.
Prime Minister Ishiba ordered the prompt provision of information to the public and thorough safety checks regarding North Korea's missile launch.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi predicted that there is a possibility of additional provocations, including nuclear tests, as North Korea has consistently expressed its intention to strengthen its nuclear and missile capabilities.
Prime Minister Ishiba, who has emphasized strengthening defense capabilities as North Korea launched its first ICBM provocation since the inauguration of the Ishiba Cabinet, is expected to speed up solidarity with neighboring countries.
A summit with China is also underway on the occasion of the APEC summit in Peru from the 15th to the 16th of next month.
At the
-China-Japan talks, the issue of responding to North Korea is also expected to be addressed.
However, as the ruling Liberal Democratic Party suffered a crushing defeat in the general election on the 27th, it is unclear whether its voice will be properly empowered.
In particular, the possibility of failing to re-nominate the prime minister in the special parliamentary election on the 11th of next month cannot be ruled out.
In addition, even if he maintains his position as prime minister, he has to rely heavily on the cooperation of the opposition.
It is pointed out that such a situation is increasing uncertainty in Japanese diplomacy.
The unstable political base at home and the fluid external security environment after the U.S. presidential election are expected to be another test of Ishiba's diplomatic prowess.
