As the standards for multi-child households change, families with two children will be able to receive childcare services first.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that it will announce legislation by the 11th of next month to revise the Enforcement Rules of the Child Care Support Act, which expanded the criteria for receiving child care services first from three or more children to two or more children.
The child care service is a system in which caregivers visit families with children under the age of 12 to take care of their children.
As of last year, more than 86,000 households used the service, and 22.5% of them were multi-child households who received preferential provision benefits.
This amendment will take effect on March 31 next year.
