[Incheon] Starting urban development near East Incheon Station...Target for completion by 2029

The Incheon Metropolitan City Corporation, the implementer of the urban development project around Dongcheon Station on the Gyeongin Railway, plans to start a basic investigation of compensation products within this year.

The Incheon Metropolitan City Corporation said it is conducting a feasibility study service for new investment projects and will receive a resolution on the new project motion from the Incheon City Council in the first half of next year.

Subsequently, we plan to launch an investigation design service for the implementation plan licensing process.

The Dong Incheon Station Urban Development Zone is 93,483 square meters in Songhyeon-dong, Dong-gu, and Inhyeon-dong, Jung-gu, and will spend 512 billion won to build 1,279 houses and accommodate 2,500 people.

The area around Dongcheon Station was one of the busiest commercial districts in Incheon until the early 1990s, but the commercial district declined sharply due to the fact that it was pushed back by commercial districts in new cities such as Songdo and Cheongna International City.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government plans to create a complex district that combines residential, business, and commercial functions through public development by Incheon Urban Corporation, an affiliated public corporation.
