A large number of irregularities in the government-supported "carbon neutral facility support project" have been detected.
The government's joint corruption prevention task force and the Ministry of Environment inspected the operation of 316 carbon-neutral facility support projects that were paid state subsidies from 2021 to September last year.
As a result, companies that have compromised comparative estimates with facility companies or put relatives as bidders to earn more business expenses were caught.
The corruption prevention team said it plans to find a total of 496 inappropriate cases, request 209 and 139 of them to investigate, and file 140 and 116 of them.
Carbon neutral facility support is a project in which the government supports 30-70% of the facility investment cost when a company designated and announced as a company subject to allocation of emission rights is introduced.
