Israel has launched airstrikes against pro-Iranian militant Hezbollah in Syria every day.

The Israeli military said on the 5th local time that air force fighters bombed Hezbollah military units stationed in Kusair, a city bordering Lebanon in western Syria.

"The unit has recently expanded its activities to the al-Qusair region in Syria," the Israeli military said. "Hezbollah has established a logistics infrastructure to move weapons from Syria to Lebanon through smuggling routes."

The previous day, Israeli forces attacked the Hezbollah intelligence headquarters facility in Damascus, the Syrian capital, and on the 3rd, special forces were deployed to Syrian territory to capture Ali Soleiman Al-Ash, an Iranian-linked spy.

In an unusual move, the military operation against Syria was announced in a statement for three consecutive days.

Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israeli forces have been conducting airstrikes on public facilities and military bases in Syria on the grounds that they are linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In particular, after the surprise attack by Hamas, a Palestinian militant group that triggered the Gaza war on October 7 last year, Israel also intensified its airstrikes against Syria.

On April 1 this year, Israeli forces bombed the consulate building of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, killing high-ranking commanders, including Revolutionary Guard Quds Force Commander Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and Iran launched retaliatory airstrikes on the Israeli mainland on April 13.
