U.S. President-elect Donald Trump owns several prestigious golf courses and is known to have strong golf skills.

While he has a deep affection for golf and martial arts, it is simply a bad relationship with basketball and American football.

Trump, Sports, and Reporter Cho Eun-ji took a look.

The mixed martial arts and UFC are special with President-elect Trump.

The relationship began when Trump gave up his hotel to the UFC, which was too violent and couldn't even find a venue for the competition, and over the next 20 years, Octagon gave strong support to the hot and macho Trump.

On the night when Trump declared victory, it was no wonder that UFC chief White stood side by side.

[Dina White / UFC CEO: You can't stop Trump. He keeps moving forward. He doesn't stop. He's the most resilient and hardworking person I've ever met.]

It was DeChambeau, a sports player who was urgently called by President-elect Trump on this stage, born in 1993.

The two drew attention with a charity round last summer, when Trump showed off his sensational skills by engraving the number 47 on his red hat, which means the 47th president, on the then-election slogan MAGA.

It was also differentiated from the older President Biden.

[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect (last July): Do you think Biden can hit like this? Well. Can you believe we argued with golf?]

There are 17 golf courses operating in handicap 2.5,

Trump is a 'golf fanatic' who was on the field even when Biden's election was breaking news four years ago.

The rounds with celebrities are "daily" and they are passionately used in diplomacy as they have held five golf meetings with former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

However, it is not a honeymoon relationship with all sports,

In particular, there have been several open wars with basketball and American football, where black players are the mainstream.

A typical example is that NFL players said they could not show respect for a country with racial discrimination, and when they boycotted the national anthem with "kneeling," they said so.

[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect (Back in 2017): If you don't respect the flag, you should say this. Get off the field now, XXX! He's fired! I'm fired!]

During his previous tenure, Curry's team, which publicly opposed him, canceled the Golden State invitation to the White House, and the NBA champion visited the White House during Biden's presidency.

The strong Trump style is not much different in the sports field.

As the 2026 North-China World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics in LA are held in the United States, Trump is expected to visit sports sites often.
