U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to withdraw from an international agreement to prevent global warming in his second term following his first.

As soon as he takes office, he is expected to step up erasing the trail of sitting President Biden,

The first thing to be discussed is the withdrawal of the Paris climate change agreement.

The Paris Agreement, which was adopted in 2015 and marks its 10th anniversary this year, aims to limit the increase in average global temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius or less compared to pre-industrial times.

The U.S. ratified the Paris Agreement under President Barack Obama in 2016, but former President Trump announced his withdrawal the following year, his first year in office, saying the agreement hindered business activities.

But as soon as current President Joe Biden took office in 2021, he issued an executive order to return to the Paris Agreement,

The New York Times reported that Trump's transition team has already prepared executive orders and presidential proclamations that can be implemented immediately after taking office.

At the same time, he added that it was withdrawing from the Paris climate change agreement.

It also said permission to build LNG export facilities, which President Biden put on hold in January, was also expected to resume, saying he needed time to study the impact of liquefied natural gas exports on climate change and the economy.

As Trump has emphasized, he is going to reverse the Biden administration's climate and energy policy,

[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect (Sept.) : I'll stop the Green New Deal (of the Biden administration). It's what I call a "green new scam." It's probably the biggest scam in history, with 10 trillion dollars wasted. I'm throwing my money like I'm throwing it out the window.]

The New York Times also reported that the White House will have a so-called "energy tsar" position to coordinate policies among government departments to expand oil, coal and gas production and ease related regulations.
