POSCO Pohang Steelworks had a big fire...First stage of response is issued.

A big fire broke out at 4:20 a.m. today (10th) inside POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Fire authorities issued the first stage of response to mobilize all personnel and equipment from the competent fire department and started extinguishing it.

So far, about 30 equipment and 80 personnel have been mobilized.

Human casualties were also confirmed, with one employee working inside the factory suffering first or second-degree burns on his face and hands and being taken to a hospital.

There were also a series of reports of fires, and nearby residents reported hearing several explosions along with the flames.
