In Valencia, eastern Spain, where flood damage has killed more than 200 people, 130,000 residents have condemned the government's botched response and called for the governor's resignation.
Protesters held on the 9th local time called on Governor Carlos Mason to resign, saying you killed the victims, and some threw mud at the city hall.
Some protesters clashed with police as they tried to enter the city hall, but no major injuries were reported.
In an interview with local media on the 9th, Mason said he respects the protesters' demands and that there will be times when officials will be held accountable, but recovery and relief work are the priority now.
Governor Mason has been accused of incompetence, deploying aid workers to the scene only days after flood damage prevention as well as disaster response.
Flooding that hit southeastern Spain on the 29th of last month has killed 220 people so far, and the search for missing people continues.
