The Russian military has claimed that Ukraine has used drones to target the Russian capital, Moscow, in the largest scale.

Russia's Defense Ministry said on the morning of the 10th local time that it had shot down a total of 70s, 34 of which were over Moscow, saying they had thwarted the Ukrainian regime's attempt to attack terrorism.

It also explained that 14 drones were shot down in Bryansk, 7 in Oryol, 7 in Kaluga and 6 in Kursk.

Videos posted on Telegram and X show a vehicle believed to be a Ukrainian drone being shot down, and debris falling and burning.

The attack is considered the largest drone strike attempt against Moscow since the war with Ukraine in February 2022, Reuters reported.

It also said a drone heading to Moscow crashed, burning some village homes and injuring a 52-year-old woman.

"We are temporarily suspending operations at two airports, Domodedovo and Zhukovo, to ensure the safety of civil aviation operations," the Russian air traffic authority said on Telegram.

Reuters and others explained that Ramenskoye, which is 45 kilometers from the Kremlin, where Putin's Russian presidential office space, was also targeted during a large-scale attack on Moscow in September, when 20 drones were shot down.
