Local media reported that the Japanese government is seeking to provide 10 trillion yen and about 90 trillion won in our money over the next few years in the semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and AI fields.
Japanese media, including Kyodo News, reported that the Japanese government has established a support plan named the "AI and semiconductor industry foundation reinforcement frame."
Under the plan, the Japanese government aims to attract a total of 50 trillion yen, or more than 450 trillion won, over the next 10 years.
The Japanese government expects the economic ripple effect to be 160 trillion yen or about 1,440 trillion won.
The support plan is based on the high-tech semiconductor company "Lafidus," which was established by the Japanese government, and subsidies, investments through government agencies, and debt guarantees for private loans are being discussed.
"The Japanese government plans to include such a plan in its economic measures to be sorted out this month," Kyodo News said. "The bill to support the rafters aims to submit to the regular session of the National Assembly next year."
