The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism criticized that the deliberation itself was unfair in relation to the approval of the Korea Sports Council's Sports Fair Committee to challenge Lee Ki-heung for the third term.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a press release immediately after the approval and said that it is unfair for the Sports Fair Committee appointed by the chairman of the Korea Sports Council to deliberate on whether the chairman himself will serve a second term.
It also demanded immediate correction, saying that the criteria for allowing the committee's executives to serve consecutive terms violate the association's articles of association.
He then pointed out that the government investigation confirmed several irregularities related to Chairman Lee, which led to the suspension of his duties, and even though the Ministry of Culture, Sports, the National Assembly, and the media pointed out the unfairness of the Sports and Fair Commission, they ignored it and pushed ahead.
As a result, it has been decided to leave the deliberation of the executives of sports organizations to a separate organization and push for legal and institutional improvements in the direction of raising the disciplinary jurisdiction of the executives of sports organizations.
