DONGHAE's gas field budget was reduced by 10%...a significant increase in renewable energy

The National Assembly's Trade, Industry, and Energy Small and Medium Venture Business Committee decided on next year's Ministry of Industry budget, which reduced the East Sea gas field budget by 10% compared to the government's security and significantly increased the budget for renewable energy.

The cost of the Donghae gas field exploration and drilling project was decided to be 50.6 billion won, a 5 billion won reduction from the government security of 55.6 billion won, and the budget for the new and renewable energy financial support project was passed to 520 billion won, a 61% increase from the government security.

Among the budget for the restoration of the nuclear power plant ecosystem, which was agreed at about 200 billion won, the budget for the construction of a small module reactor production support center increased by 100 million won from 5.5 billion won under the government.

The entire budget bill of the Ministry of Industry, which passed the standing committee, is worth 11.5 trillion won, an increase of 970 billion won from the government's original plan, and will be finalized after review by the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts and a resolution by the plenary session.
