Secretary of State Tony Blinken will visit the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to discuss ways to support Ukraine, the State Department says, as U.S. policy on Ukraine is expected to change completely after Trump's inauguration.

Blinken plans to visit Brussels, Belgium, for two days from the 12th local time, where he will hold talks with NATO and the European Union to discuss supporting Ukraine's own defense.

The Biden administration has expressed opposition to ceasefire negotiations that Ukraine does not agree with, but Trump has pledged to end the war within 24 hours of taking office.

As a result, the U.S. Department of Defense seems to be speeding up to quickly implement Ukraine's security aid already secured before the launch of the new government.
