The computer system of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, which can check the identities of CSAT students who left their identification cards, once had some access problems.

The first period was restored just before the start of the first period, and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education said that it could go through an identification process if it bypassed the system, but it was restored just before the SAT exam.

I'll connect with the reporter and find out.

Reporter Yoon Tae-in, please tell us more.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education's educational administration information system Nice has been found to have had some disruptions in its access since this morning.

Nice is a computerized system that can only be accessed from a computer in an educational institution,
It has access to information such as the life records of students
, so it is also used to identify students who did not bring their identification cards or test tickets in the CSAT.

Around 7 a.m. this morning, there was a report that there was a disability in accessing Nice directly at the school test site in Gyeonggi-do.

A faculty member tasked with identifying test takers told YTN that Nice was embarrassed by some computer problems.

The Ministry of Education explained that it received a report of a connection failure from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education at 7:25 a.m.

The recovery has been completed as of 8:20 a.m.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education explained that even before the restoration, it is possible to access Nice by bypassing it through VPNs that help access the internal computer network from outside.

He also explained that there is no obstacle to the identification of the test takers, and even if it is difficult to identify them right now, they go through the identification process after all the CSATs are over.

Amid confusion in identifying the examinee's identity, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education guided each test site to Nice access through VPN.

The Ministry of Education believes that there was a problem with the cloud service that runs Nice, saying that it has been restored by remotely booting the Nice server, and is trying to determine the cause of the failure in detail.
