Representative Lee Jae-myung and the prosecution have been fighting at 27 hearings for as many as two years and two months since September last year.

While representative Lee denies all charges, the prosecution has been confronting each other over facts and legal principles, preparing 10,000 pages of investigation records, all 20 volumes, to prove the charges.

There was also an external problem.

The deadline was pushed back several times last year when representative Lee did not appear at the court due to hunger strike and parliamentary audit, and the trial was virtually idle for two months.

Earlier this year, the hearing was suspended once again when former chief judge Kang Kyu-tae, the presiding judge, suddenly resigned.

The election law stipulates that the first trial for election offenders must be sentenced within six months of prosecution, but

As it has been delayed for various reasons, the term 'enforced regulations' has exceeded the legal deadline by four times.

However, the progress is the fastest among the many suspicions that Lee has been indicted since the last presidential election.

Regarding representative Lee, there are currently four trials in total of seven cases, and this is the first time that the court will judge him.

The next fastest progress is the perjury teacher trial, which is scheduled to be sentenced to the first trial on the 25th.

This month concludes the first trial proceedings of two trials,
Considering the fact that the prosecution
and representative Lee have been fiercely fighting for guilt or innocence, the prevailing view is that the battle between the two sides will lead to an appeal trial.

In addition, as the remaining trials are in the midst of the first trial, the "judicial risk" surrounding representative Lee is expected to continue for a while.
