Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, asked individual lawmakers to refrain from visiting the court ahead of the first trial of his violation of the Public Official Election Act this afternoon (17th).
Senior spokesman Cho Seung-rae told reporters after the Supreme Council that representative Lee asked lawmakers to refrain from attending the rally around the court.
When asked if representative Lee would attend the trial alone, he answered that the chief of staff and the chief of staff would accompany him.
The Democratic Party originally planned to call for innocence by gathering a large number of individual lawmakers in the court, as well as members of the party's leadership and the prosecution's anti-dictatorship committee.
