Former professional baseball player Jung Soo-geun, who was accused of injuring a man who was drinking with a bottle, will also be tried for drunk driving.
Earlier this month, the Namyangju branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office indicted Jeong without detention on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.
The details of the drunk driving are not known, but no damage was reported.
In December last year, Jeong was indicted for hitting his acquaintance A's head with a bottle, who was drinking with him at an entertainment bar in Namyangju, and the prosecution demanded a year and a half in prison.
The sentence scheduled for the 4th of next month has been postponed for now as the drinking case merged with Chung's trial on special injury charges.
