China-China summit... "Building constructive and reciprocal relations"

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba held a summit on the 15th local time in Peru, where they visited to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and APEC summit.

Xi, who first met with the new prime minister, said he was ready to work to build a constructive and stable relationship with Japan to meet the demands of a new era, Xinhua reported.

In response, Prime Minister Ishiba said that the two countries have an important responsibility for international peace and that although there are many pending issues between the two countries, it is important to establish stable relations.

Ishiba expressed concerns about the situation in East China Sea and China's active military activities and called for China's resumption of imports of Japanese seafood, which has been suspended since the release of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
