Last year, the gap in house prices owned by households exceeded 40 times.

According to last year's home ownership statistics released by the National Statistical Office, the average home value of the top 10% of households in terms of asset value was 1.255 billion won, 40.5 times the average home value of the bottom 10% of 30 million won.

The average home asset value of the top 10% of households increased by 40 million won from a year ago, and the bottom 10% increased by 1 million won from a year ago.

The average number of homes owned by the top 10% of households was 2.37, 2.4 times higher than 0.98 in the bottom 10%.

Analysts say that the more expensive households have homes, the more houses they own, showing the polarization of assets in our society.

Last year, the average home asset value of households owning homes was 320 million won, and the average number of homes owned per household was 1.35.

The average age of homeowners was 57.3 years and the average number of household members was 2.55.
