Instagram's 'childcare account', the number one social networking company, is on alert.
Users who have operated "i-accounts" that mainly post pictures of their children said they have been deactivated or deleted due to Meta's stricter account protection measures.
The targets range from famous influencer to ordinary people who do not have many followers.
Instagram basically only allows subscribers over the age of 14, but the official guideline is that for accounts representing children under the age of 14, the introduction should clearly state that they are managed by parents and others.
In response, users advised to first change their profile to family photos, mothers, and fathers, and make it clear in their IDs and introductions that they are parents-run accounts.
It also said that commercial activities using children should be stopped, saying that it could be a problem even if sponsorships or baby models were hung on hashtags or introductions.
Meta plans to launch a "teenage account" globally in January next year, which will be operated for teenagers, which could limit exposure or usage time of content sensitive to teenagers.
