Ninety-eight trucks carrying relief supplies into Gaza have been looted, Reuters reported, citing officials from the Palestinian Refugee Relief Organization, UNRWA.
The looting, which took place on the 16th local time, was the worst damage since the outbreak of the Gaza war, Reuters said.
The Israeli side ordered aid vehicles to depart from checkpoints immediately and take an unfamiliar route, aid officials said.
He also emphasized that Gaza's food shortage is severe, and that the livelihoods of more than 2 million people living as relief supplies will be at risk if intervention is not taken immediately.
The Israeli military says it is doing its best to ensure that enough aid is delivered to Gaza and does not block aid from being brought in.
