UN "More than 200 Children Killed in Lebanon in Two Months"

More than 200 children have been killed in Lebanon in the past two months as Israel intensifies its attacks on Lebanese militant Hezbollah.

James Elder, spokesman for the United Nations Children's Fund and UNICEF, said today (19th) that there is a worrying trend in Geneva.

At the same time, he added that an average of three children died a day.

In recent years, as Israel and Hezbollah have stepped up airstrikes on opposing territories, civilian casualties have also occurred on both sides.
