Coach Lee Eul-yong, who led the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup semifinals, will be the head coach of Gyeongnam FC in the second division of professional football.
The Gyeongnam club said, "We will appoint Lee Eul-yong, who has a wide range of experience in domestic and international leagues, national team players, and leadership experience as the 10th head coach."
This is the first time that head coach Lee Eul-yong leads a K-League club as an official head coach.
Lee, who began his leadership career as a coach for Gangwon FC after retiring from active duty, served as a coach at Cheongju University, acting coach for FC Seoul, and senior coach for Jeju United, and served as the general manager of Yongin City Football Center since last year.
