Yesterday (19th) at around 9:30 a.m., a fire broke out at an electronics manufacturing plant on the first basement floor and four floors above the ground in Wonwon-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, and was extinguished in 4 hours and 50 minutes.
After receiving a report from an official that a fire broke out in the Saengsan-dong on the third floor of the factory, the fire authorities once issued the first stage of response to extinguish the fire.
All of the 70 workers were evacuated and no one was injured, but reports flooded the fire authorities as black smoke soared.
The fire department explained that 3 out of 30 condenser manufacturing machines were on fire, and that dangerous substances such as petroleum and alcohol were stored in outdoor storage outside the factory.
Suwon City sent a safety notice, asking vehicles to detour roads in the area, and nearby citizens to pay attention to safety.
