Bob Woodward, a journalist who scooped up the U.S. Watergate, criticized U.S. President-elect Donald Trump for attempting to become an "imperial president."
Woodward made the comments in an interview with MSNBC on the 18th local time, criticizing controversial Cabinet appointments including Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
Woodward analyzed that Trump appears to be attempting to re-create the imperial presidency by nominating a person with little experience suitable.
As for Hegseth, a former Fox News host, the defense secretary criticized him for having to know what organizational management and responsibility are and where the power's operating system is, but not seeing anything from Hegseth.
Regarding Gabbard, a nominee for director of the National Intelligence Service, he also asked what Trump appointed for, stressing that he was not the right person.
