A final hearing will be held at the Seoul Central Military Court this afternoon on former Marine Corps Investigation Team Leader Park Jung-hoon, who was indicted on charges of transferring the investigation records of the case to the private sector in violation of the Marine Corps Commander's instructions.
Earlier in October last year, the Ministry of National Defense's prosecution team indicted former general manager Park without detention on charges of defamation of protest and superiors under the Military Criminal Law, and Park argued not guilty in nine hearings over the past year, citing allegations of external pressure.
The Military Human Rights Center said in its final hearing today that it will hold a brief briefing with the lawyers after the trial, saying that Park Jung-hoon, former head of the investigation team, is expected to be sentenced to the military prosecution.Former head of investigation
Park is accused of violating the order of Marine Corps Commander Kim Kye-hwan to stop the police transfer on the investigation results of the corporal case while he was swept away by the torrent in July last year while searching for a missing person.
