Senior U.S. official "Israel's security cabinet expected to approve ceasefire negotiations today"

Israel and pro-Iranian militant Hezbollah have agreed to a cease-fire deal, and the Israeli security cabinet is expected to approve the agreement today (26th) local time.

The U.S. Internet media Axios quoted a senior U.S. official as saying on the 25th local time that an agreement has been reached between the two sides and the goal line has been reached.A senior official at

said, "However, Israeli cabinet approval is needed until then, something can always go wrong."

Speaking on the sidelines of a senior official's message, Axios said four U.S. and Israeli officials said the negotiations were almost complete.

The draft cease-fire deal calls for Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon and Lebanese troops to be deployed near the border, while Hezbollah moves heavy weapons north of the Ritani River.

It is also supposed to have a ceasefire transition period of 60 days for both sides to implement these conditions.
