Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire 'tentative agreement'...U.S. "Optimized at Final Deal"

It has been reported that Israel has tentatively agreed in principle to a ceasefire with Lebanese militant Hezbollah and will officially announce it as early as today (26th).

The White House was also optimistic about a final settlement, saying a ceasefire agreement was imminent.

CNN and others reported that Israel agreed in principle to a ceasefire with Lebanese militant Hezbollah.

CNN said Netanyahu had tentatively agreed to a U.S.-proposed cease-fire in a meeting with officials, and that it would be approved by a Cabinet vote as early as today.

Internet media Axios also quoted a senior U.S. official as saying that the agreement has reached the goal line but has not yet passed it.

The draft ceasefire includes Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon and Hezbollah's exit south of the Ritani River to create a buffer zone.

The White House is also optimistic that a ceasefire agreement is imminent, and some even predict that U.S. President Biden will announce it himself.

However, there are concerns that the negotiations could be canceled due to one mistake due to the continued strong offensive from both sides.

In fact, nearly 30 people were killed in an airstrike in Beirut over the weekend, and Hezbollah also launched a counterattack with more than 200 rockets.

If an actual ceasefire is reached, gunfire will stop a year after the war with Hezbollah in Lebanon following the Hamas and Gaza wars in October last year.
