Group Stray Kids has been nominated for the main prize at the Billboard Awards in the United States. In addition, several singers, including the group Le Seraphim, Seventeen, and ATEEZ, were listed in the K-pop-related category.
The Billboard Music Awards (2024 BBMAs) announced the shortlist for this year's awards on the 25th (local time).
Among them, Stray Kids was nominated for Top Duo/Group, one of the main awards. Stray Kids, the only K-pop singer named, was on par with Blink-182, Coldplay, Fuerza Regida, and Linkin Park.
In 2019, BTS became the first K-pop singer to win the award and was nominated the following year. Last year, group Fifteen Fifteen was named as a candidate, but it was a bummer.
In addition, group BTS Jungkook was nominated for the Top Selling Song category and the Top Song Sales Artist category.
Thanks to the establishment of a K-pop-related award last year, several K-pop singers were nominated for the Billboard Music Awards again this year. Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, group BTS (BTS) Jimin and Jungkook will compete in the
Top Global K-pop Artist category.
ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER will also face off in the Top K-Pop Touring Artist category. ATEEZ, Jungkook, Stray Kids, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER were selected as nominees for the
Top K-pop Album category. In particular, Stray Kids also compete with "ROK-STAR" and "ATE." In the
top global K-pop song, the BTS's domestic fight continues. Jimin's "Who," Jungkook's "Standing Next to You" and 3D (feat. Jack Harlow) will compete. Le Seraphim's "Perfect Night" and Eilit's "Magnetic" also challenged.
