Psy's Hannam-dong villa was released after seizure... "I didn't know about illegal expansion."

It was belatedly known that the Hannam-dong villa owned by singer Psy was once seized and lifted due to arrears of compulsory performance due to unauthorized expansion.

Earlier in May, the Yongsan-gu Office in Seoul seized the Hannam-dong villa after Psy failed to pay enforcement penalties imposed due to unauthorized use changes.

Psy paid the compulsory performance fee last month, so the seizure is currently lifted.

The agency, P Nation, said it was only in arrears due to the delay in checking the bill, and explained that there was no change of use or illegal extension in the process of Psy's actual residence.

He then said he learned that there was an illegal extension at the time of the initial construction due to complaints, adding that he is preparing to correct the illegal extension with other householders.
