The Military Manpower Administration said it has deleted more than 1,200 illegal posts from May to October this year and is investigating 30 cases for violations of the law related to posting or distribution bans as real-time crackdowns became possible 365 days after introducing an automatic search program for information on promotion of military service exemption.

In July of this year, the Judicial Police Service Act was revised to post related information such as draft avoidance or reduction or investigation of draft dodgers, and it was possible to investigate 133 suspected military service dodgers, and 56 were sent to the prosecution.

In addition, it added that it has established a prevention system by posting information on promoting military service exemption on the site or guiding punishment for distribution through business agreements with Naver or DC Inside.

Kim Jong-chul, the head of the Military Manpower Administration, said that military service evasion is an important criminal act that undermines fairness and equity in the performance of military service, and emphasized that he will do his best to establish a fair culture of military service.
