Heavy snow from the night caused a series of highway traffic accidents throughout the country.

Several people were injured and killed in a series of crashes following vehicles that slipped in the snow.

The snowy highway was jammed with traffic.

At around 12:20 p.m., a snow traffic accident occurred in both directions near the Eumseong Interchange on the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway.

About 10 vehicles collided in the direction of Pyeongtaek and more than four vehicles in the direction of Jecheon, intertwining the following vehicles.

After a while, another vehicle hits the first vehicle in the accident, and the vehicle rotates greatly due to the impact.

The accident happened at around 6:40 a.m.

In the accident, which led to a quadruple crash, 81-year-old A was taken to cardiac arrest, but died, and six people were injured, both large and small.

Earlier, at around 6:10 a.m., a six-snow collision occurred near the Namyangju tunnel on the Guri-Pocheon Expressway in Gyeonggi-do.

An SUV, a 25-ton truck, and a car that followed a 1-ton truck that slipped in the snow while exiting the tunnel hit one after another.

Two drivers complained of shoulder and back pain, but they were not seriously injured and were not taken to the hospital.

At around 8 a.m., a trailer that slipped on the snow fell on the Iksan-Pohang Expressway in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do.

A driver in his 40s was injured and taken to a hospital, and about 1,600 liters of amino ethyl ethanolamine, a chemical, were leaked from the container in the trailer.

The fire authorities put in an admiral car of Hwasaengbang to take care of it.
