In China, more than 6,000 cars were trapped on a highway that turned into ice for four days.

In the northeast region, where record heavy snowfall of nearly 50cm fell, a cold wave of below -20°C hit.

This is Beijing correspondent Kang Jeong-gyu.

Large trucks are lined up.

It's not a parking lot.

The snow on the highway in Gansu Province froze and became stranded.

Over 6,000 vehicles have been stranded for four days since the 23rd.

Traffic police and veterans' organizations distribute hot water and cup noodles around a 33-km-long congested section.

At the ski resort in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, the cable car stopped due to a failure.

About 50 passengers were in fear, hanging high for about an hour in the cold wave of -15℃.

[Cable car passenger: Around 2:52 p.m., I called the police because I couldn't get an emergency call. I got off the cable car at 4 o'clock, and I really feel like I passed the threshold of death.

Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province, recorded the highest daily snowfall as of November.

CCTV footage showed 49.7cm of snow accumulating overnight.

When even the ambulance stops in the snow, paramedics transfer it to the patient on a stretcher.

Public transportation such as trains and buses has been suspended, and school closures have been issued.

In Heogang City alone, more than 5,800 people were employed in 1,100 snowplow vehicles.

The snow stopped, but traffic hell is expected to continue for a while due to a cold wave below -20℃.
