Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized Russian President Putin's warning that he could hit the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with a new missile, calling it an attempt to sabotage U.S. President-elect Trump's efforts to end the war.

"Putin has no interest in ending the war," Zelensky said in a video address on the night of 28 local time.

It also described Putin as sword-dancing with a new medium-range ballistic missile "Oresynik," which Trump said was aimed at hindering efforts to end the war since taking office.

"President Putin is the one who started the war and the only one who believes in it," he continued, adding that "he raises tensions to pressure the U.S. president into accepting Russia's terms."
