The Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency handed over a Vietnamese national student A, who is suspected of abandoning a newborn baby in a bathroom in an underground shopping mall, to the prosecution on the 28th.

A is accused of throwing a newborn baby away in a bag in the women's restroom at Uijeongbu Station in Gyeonggi Province on the afternoon of the 20th.

The abandoned baby was found by a security guard at the mall, and when the security guard heard a cry in a bag abandoned in the bathroom, he opened it and found that there was a newborn baby moving with umbilical cord.

In an initial police investigation, A denied the crime, saying it was not a baby he gave birth to, but after his arrest, he stated, "I committed the crime because I couldn't afford to raise a child due to an unexpected sudden birth."

Mr. A was found to have given birth to a baby at his residence at around 9 a.m. on the day of the abandonment, and he refused to reveal who his biological father was.
