A teenager who threatened his juniors and forced them to join a multi-level company was sentenced to prison.
The Cheongju District Court sentenced 17-year-old A, who was charged with coercion and blackmail, to a long term of six months in prison and a short term of four months.
The court added that it considered the fact that the nature of the crime was not good and that he was not forgiven by the victims.
A is accused of threatening 11 junior middle school students to join a multi-level company where he is a salesperson for two months from January to receive an allowance, forcing nine of them to join.
Under the Juvenile Act, boys under the age of 19 can be sentenced by dividing the sentence into a long term and a short term.
