Embassy in U.S. contracts lobbying firm where Trump's chief of staff nominee worked

lobby company, reported to the U.S. Department of Justice on the 26th of last month that it had signed a contract with the Korean Embassy in the U.S. to provide consulting services, including contact with U.S. officials.

The contract period between Mercury Public Affairs and the Korean Embassy in the U.S. is until the end of this year, and Mercury will provide advice on developing, organizing, and planning the embassy's economic and policy issues in line with the second Trump administration.

The Korean Embassy in the U.S. signed a short-term contract with a lobby company with ties to Trump's closest aides, which seems to be a decision in consideration of the situation in which it is not easy to communicate directly because figures nominated for Trump's second cabinet refrain from external contact before the congressional confirmation process.
