KOSPI, KOSDAQ start up around 0.9%

Both the KOSPI and KOSDAQ started higher.

Today (2nd), the KOSPI opened at 2,479.02, up 0.94% from the previous trading day.

Analysts say the rebound came as low-priced buying surged following a close to 2% drop in the previous trading day.

However, there are many variables such as signs of a slowdown in our economy amid lingering concerns over a U.S. tariff hike or a review of semiconductor subsidies.

KOSDAQ also started trading 0.88% higher at 684.15.

In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar exchange rate started at 1,396 won, up 1.3 won.
