Non-regular workers in charge of school meals and care have declared a general strike on the 6th.

The National Union of Non-regular School Workers held a press conference today (2nd) and said it is going on strike to end wage and status discrimination.

They said they had held several rounds of negotiations with the Ministry of Education and 17 municipal and provincial offices of education between June and last week over a real wage hike and improved high-intensity labor treatment in the cafeteria, but no consultation took place.

The union expected about 60,000 out of 170,000 school non-regular workers nationwide to participate.

In fact, if the strike begins on the 6th, some elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide are expected to provide alternative foods such as bread and milk for lunch and provide caring alternative personnel.
