background
This is a North Korean armored vehicle that was released on video at the North Korean military parade in 2018.

It is equipped with a launch pad that can be equipped with up to eight firebirds-4 missiles for destroying tanks.

However, the Ukrainian military recently released drone footage claiming that it had destroyed a similar type of armored vehicle.

The 'Firebird-4' was a copy of the anti-tank missile that North Korea had brought in from Russia in the past, produced and improved itself, and then provided it back to Russia.

This is reported to be the first case.

The range is estimated to be up to 25 kilometers, and it is considered a significant threat to our K-2 tank due to its high penetration.

[Kim Dae-young / Military Researcher at the Korea Institute for National Strategy: The size of the launch tube has increased compared to that of Firebird-2, so it seems that the ability to penetrate thick gloves has improved a lot. In particular, the K-2 tank operated by our military is expected to have the ability to completely destroy it with one shot.]

{Firebird-4' was first reported to have been supported by Russia through a military magazine in July, and our National Intelligence Service also determined that Firebird-4 was supported based on fragments collected from the battlefield.

The new North Korean weapons used in practice include a new 240-mm controlled guided multiple rocket launcher that was recently test-fired by adding an induction device.

In particular, the possibility of supporting 600mm super-large multiple rocket launchers and tactical surface-to-surface missiles called "North Korean version of Attacks" has been discussed, raising concerns that North Korea may be gaining hands-on experience by supporting new weapons along with the dispatch of special operations forces.
