[Gyeonggi] "Gyeonggi-do education to the world"...2024 UNESCO Forum Opens

UNESCO held its first international forum in Gyeonggi Province after publishing its "Future of Education" report in 2021.

At the forum, attended by educators from more than 90 countries around the world, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education said it would inform the world that education in Gyeonggi Province is aiming for future education.

[Reporter] UNESCO Chairman of the International Future Education Committee, Salawirk Zhoude, former President of Ethiopia, enters the venue.

UNESCO chose Gyeonggi Province as its first international forum venue since it published its report on "Educational Transformation for the Future" in 2021.

The UNESCO report calls for changing existing systems such as curriculum and teaching methods created in the past to suit the current educational situation.

More than 1,800 domestic and foreign educators, including ministerial-level officials from UNESCO member states, international organizations, and education experts, will attend the forum.

There is also a place to announce major education in Gyeonggi Province.The

Provincial Office of Education will also introduce 10 schools and educational institutions in the province that are using the same 'AI learning program' as the contents of the UNESCO report.
