This year, the so-called "malicious unsold" that was not traded even after completion in the Seoul housing market reached its highest level in three years.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, as of the end of October, a total of 523 unsold houses were classified as malicious unsold houses after completion.
This is a 28.2% increase from the same period last year.
Most of the unsold houses after completion were small and medium-sized houses with less than 300 households.
Experts analyzed that amid the real estate recession, even in the same Seoul, sold-out and unsold apartments have intensified depending on conditions such as location, price, and environment.
Most of the characteristics of unsold houses in Seoul and the metropolitan area are solo housing, transportation inconvenience, and outlying areas, and those that were sold at high prices two or three years ago when the market was good were not sold.
