Police said they are reviewing a request by the high-ranking government official's criminal investigation agency to transfer the emergency martial law investigation.

The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters Special Investigation Team made this position in response to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit's renewed request to transfer cases related to emergency martial law.

Earlier, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit claimed that the prosecution and police are obliged to respond to the right to demand transfer of the case if the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit deems it more appropriate to investigate in light of the controversy over the degree and fairness of the investigation under the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit Act.

At the same time, he asked the prosecution and police to transfer the emergency martial law-related case on the 8th, and when he did not reply, he asked for another transfer on the 13th.
