Rep. Lee Hun-seung, chairman of the National Committee of People's Power, said he will proceed with the process of establishing an emergency committee without delay over the resignation of all elected supreme council members after the impeachment bill was passed.
Rep. Lee wrote on social media that the party leadership collapsed when all five of our party's elected supreme council members resigned.
As it is a severe time, there are growing calls for the emergency committee to be launched as soon as possible according to the party constitution, he said, stressing that active efforts are needed to resolve it as soon as possible.
According to the People's Power Party constitution, an emergency committee will be established when more than four elected supreme council members resign, and in this case, the emergency committee chairman will be appointed by the party leader or acting party leader after a national committee vote.
