Last year, greenhouse gases emitted by the public sector, including central administrative agencies, were more than 30% less than the standard.

According to last year's public sector greenhouse gas target management system released by the Ministry of Environment today (16th), the amount of greenhouse gases emitted was 4,037,000 tons.

This is 31.1% less than the standard set based on average emissions from 2007 to 2009.

Greenhouse gas emissions in the public sector are calculated by adding greenhouse gases directly or indirectly emitted in the process of using electricity or operating official vehicles and vehicles in buildings such as government buildings.

Under the Public Sector Greenhouse Gas Target Management System, each agency should set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% from the 2007-2009 average emissions by 2030.
