The president of Yoon Suk Yeol has formed a team of lawyers.

The defense team of President Yoon issued a statement today and said Kim Hong-il, former chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, will be the representative of the defense team.

He also added that he would announce his position as soon as possible, saying, "We are still sorting out our internal positions."

Former chairman of the state affairs commission Kim was a senior prosecutor of President Yoon and worked with him when he was the head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, served as the special chairman of the Yoon Suk Yeol camp's political work investigation during the last presidential election, and served as the chairman of the Korea Communications Commission after Yoon's inauguration.

Former Chairman Kim recently submitted his resignation to the law firm he belonged to as the investigation into the rebellion against President Yoon accelerated.
