Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency market leader, continued its high march, breaking the all-time high of $106,500, which was recorded the previous day, in one day.
On the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, the price of Bitcoin was trading at $107,846, up 4.52% from 24 hours ago as of 1:30 p.m. ET.
At the same time, No. 2 market cap Ethereum rose 3.84% to $4,062, Ripple rose 2.51% to $2.47, Solana fell 1.11% to $219, and Dogecoin rose 0.68% to $0.41.
Bitcoin's rise has been fueled by comments that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will push for a strategic reserve fund.
Asked over the weekend if the U.S. plans to create a Bitcoin strategic reserve fund, such as an oil reserve fund, Trump said "yes."
