Prosecutors "Investigate former President Moon's Case Regardless of Impeachment Situation"

Prosecutors investigating former President Moon Jae In's alleged bribery said they will proceed with the investigation regardless of the political situation, such as the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office today emphasized, "We will investigate the case according to the warrant legally issued by the court in accordance with the law and principles without any other consideration."

Asked if the impeachment of President Yoon would affect the schedule of former President Moon's investigation, a prosecution official said, "The political situation has not caused a significant change in the case."

However, he added that he has not discussed the timing or method of investigating former President Moon with his lawyers so far.
